When no nail is present, for example due to trauma, surgery, or infection, the gel is sculpted directly onto the nail bed to create a realistic prosthetic nail. Toenail reconstruction is suitable for both men and women experiencing a variety of nail concerns. It is ideal for repairing thickened, discoloured, or traumatised nails, as well as nails affected by fungal infections or psoriasis. The procedure can also help reshape nail tufts or spikes left after surgery. It is suitable for diabetics, provided there is no active infection.
